11 months after the Chibok Girls abduction by Boko Haram, the
Nigerian military, battling insurgency in the northeast, has come out to say
they have no news of their whereabouts.
Responding to questions by reporters on Tuesday, Lieutenant
General Kenneth Minimah had the following to say;
"In all the liberated areas we have also made enquiries, but when
the Boko Haram fighters flee they take their dependants with them.
Those we have come in contact with have not made any comment suggesting
that the Chibok girls were there and were taken away.”
As much as this is sad, I think we should keep faith and
believe our military would bring the girls back however long it takes.
